Number 3- A Beautiful Chemex

When you want a coffee drink all to yourself that’s usually for two people to share you might be an ambitious 3 on the Enneagram. “Threes are self-assured, attractive, and charming. Ambitious, competent, and energetic, they can also be status-conscious and highly driven for advancement. They are diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with their image and what others think of them. The Chemex is a beautiful way to brew coffee and beautiful like an enneagram 3. In fact the Chemex is the only coffee brewing apparatus featured in the Museum of Modern Art. Like a 3 the Chemex loves the spotlight and has appeared in several movies and television shows since its debut in the 1954 movie ‘Sabrina.’ Even Ian Fleming’s James Bond enjoys a good Chemex as evidenced in ‘From Russia with Love.’ More than beautiful and famous a chemex produces an excellent cup of coffee, allowing one to experience the fullness of flavor in a particular roast or bean. The Chemex never need worry about image.

There are a couple of 3s on the Heritage team. Both excellent baristas you might also recognize Ciara as one of the HRC TV news broadcasters and Halie has been in coffee since she was 8-years-old. When talking about how she identifies as a 3 Ciara says, ‘I think for me, always being driven by success and finding that in most things in life. Looking for purpose in lots of areas and having a high standard for achievement. Also being easily adaptive to environment.’ Halie’s instagram name @halieawesome might say it all. She is confident and has follow through, Halie has been a leader in her community through Shasta Lake Youth Leadership as President of the youth organization.
