Hello, I’m Hannah Townley

I am the Creative Community Coordinator and Market Manager for the Shasta Lake Creative Community. My job is overseeing the Shasta Lake Farmers Market and other projects done by the Shasta Lake Creative Community. It is my goal to empower our local creatives to use their craft to heal the town of Shasta Lake through various community projects, events, and good old relationship building(networking? collaborating?)

I want to invite you to be a part of this growing community of Creatives who are doing awesome things in Shasta Lake. Below are some ways you could get involved!

Creative Event Coordinator -

*1 Point Person Per Event - Delegating Tasks to a  2-4 Person Team*

  • Communicates & Coordinates with Hannah & the Shasta Lake Creative Community Ambassador

  • Contacts Artists for Upcoming Events (Art Walk, Collaborative Art Shows, Community Art Projects, etc)

  • Contacts Volunteers from List for Upcoming Events as Needed

  • Helps Direct Artists at Events

    • Loading/Unloading

    • Where to Set Up

  • Directing Volunteers and Assisting with Event Set Up

    • Food Prep

    • Space Rearranging

    • Greeting

    • Etc

Commitment Duration: All Events & Creative Event Coordinators for these Events are Determined in Spring Time for the Current Year

Requirements:

  • Creates a Free Account with Trello to Collaborate with Art Team through the Shasta Lake Creative Community Planning Board

  • Attends Monthly Art Team Meetings

Incentive: Waived Vendor Booth Fee for the Season at the Shasta Lake Farmers Market

Shasta Lake Creative Community Ambassador

*1 Point Person - with Assistance from Collective Art Team*

  • Connect with Local Business for Involvement(Art Walk, Participating in Art Rotation, Sponsoring Events, etc)

  • Contacting Local Schools & Colleges for Involvement(Art Walk, Themed Art Shows, Art Installations)

  • Online Communication

    • Using the Shasta Lake Creative Community accounts, Responding to Comments & Messages pertaining to the Creative Events

  • Starts Conversations with other Businesses, Services, Vendors, Creatives, etc that have to do with an upcoming Special Event(example,..Mosley Wine Cellars for an Art Opening or National Wine Day)

Commitment Duration: To Be Determined Based on 2019 Schedule

Requirements:

  • Creates a Free Account with Trello to Collaborate with Art Team through the Shasta Lake Creative Community Planning Board

  • Attends Monthly Market Team Meetings

Advertisement & Promotion Assistant -

*1 Point Person Per Event - with Assistance from Collective Art Team*

  • Virtual Advertisement

    • Facebook Event Page Creation

    • Press Release Submitting

  • Physical Tasks - Collective Art Team + General Volunteers

    • Hanging Posters

    • Distributing Handouts

  • Artist Specific

    • Turn Artists Surveys into Blogs

  • Weekly Virtual Advertisement

    • Sharing FB Events on Facebook Groups

    • SLCC Newsletter as Needed

    • Blogging on Upcoming Art Events, Cool Art Stories, etc

    • Social Media Promotion(FB/Insta Posts, Insta Stories, Photos of Event)

Commitment Duration: To Be Determined Based on 2019 Schedule

Requirements:

GENERAL VOLUNTEER -

For individuals that can not assist with Special Event Logistics but would like to occasionally be boots on the ground. *General Volunteers would be contacted by our Creative Event Coordinator when more man power is needed for the tasks below…*

  • Market Set Up/Tear Down

  • Special Event Set Up/Tear Down

  • Assistance with Poster, Yard Sign, & Hand Out Distribution

Incentive: One Free Drink of Choice from Heritage Coffee House during Volunteer Commitment

Creative COmmunity Partner -

You love what we are doing, want to be involved, but you’re not quite sure yet where you fit in…this is for Individuals that simply want to Attend Art Team Meetings to assist with…

  • Brainstorming Events and Projects - Determining the Years Schedule and Goals

  • Help Determine Tasks that Need to be Completed

  • Above tasks as need, when able

Commitment Duration: Invited to Attend our Monthly Art Team Meetings

Incentive: To Be Determined Based on Level of Involvement
